Chinese medicine has a long history and is one of the four national treasures of China. Chinese medicine is holistic in nature taking the human body, nature and human society as an organic whole. ‘The Medical Classic of the Yellow Emperor’ says human observes and rhymes with heaven and earth and echos to the four seasons. In other words, human and nature adapt to each other and closely link with the changes of four seasons. Therefore, any change in nature will definitely affect us and may even cause biological or pathological changes in our bodies. In view of that, Chinese medicine practitioners diagnose patients’ conditions by observing, listening to, conversing with and touching the patients for achieving a clear and thorough understanding of the patients’ conditions so that appropriate treatment plans, making reference to the time of the year, could be formulated for each individual patient.

Based on traditional Chinese medicine theories, Yeung & Young Medicare Centre uses the finest organic Chinese medicine and advanced medical equipment to provide quality treatments to patients. We use Ecocert certified organic herbs, GMP-controlled Chinese medicine granules, high-end skin testing equipment from Germany and Switzerland, and high quality acupuncture tools made in South Korea. All our herbs, products and equipment meet international standards and we strive to provide appropriate and effective treatments to our patients.

Yao Chi, is said to be a beautiful ancient Chinese goddess with superb medical knowledge and skills and noble ethics. She saved hundreds and thousands of people from suffering diseases. Therefore, her name symbolizes health and kindness. Yeung & Young Medicare Centre following the Yao Chi spirit also heals our patients with a parent-like heart, using high-quality herbs and equipment to cure people and prevent disease.

Dr Jenny Yeung Ming-ha, a registered Chinese medicine practitioner and founder of Yeung & Young Medicare Centre, has always been a keen supporter of the community and regularly visits the elderly centre and provide charity services to thepoor. On 18 January 2018, Dr. Yang established the Yeung & Young Foundation to practises the spirit of charity. The Foundation is based on the belief that prevention is better than cure. We promote the Chinese health culture which helps the elderly prevent illnesses before they occur and safeguards the elderly’s health so that they can maintain an independent, relaxed and dignified life at old age.

Each of our seniors is a unique treasure. Without their hard work when they were young, we would not have the trees that we enjoy today. Unfortunately, many elderly people who have worked hard all their lives are suffering in their old age for various reasons, mostly due to health or emotional problems. The Foundation hopes to enhance the elderly’s knowledge on health and Chinese medicine for improving their health condition. Apart from producing videos to increase the elderly’s knowledge on Chinese medicine, and organising seminars and workshops to promote Chinese medicine and health culture, we also operate volunteer clinics for helping the grassroots elderly in need.

In the long run, the Foundation hopes to set up a Chinese medicine based care centre for the elderly. Through experiential camps and various activities, the elderly could practise their knowledge learned on Chinese medicine when they walk, stay still, sit or sleep to achieve physical, mental and spiritual health. Ultimately, each elder becomes healthier, grows old more slowly and lives a happier and more dignified life.
